Mr. Confusione was associated with McCarter & English, LLP in Newark, New Jersey and Klehr, Harrison, Harvey, Branzburg & Ellers, LLP in Philadelphia before forming Hegge & Confusione in 1999. He is admitted to the bars of the United States Supreme Court, the States of New Jersey and New York, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the appellate panel of the Criminal Justice Act, serving as counsel for criminal appeals in the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He also serves as designated counsel on criminal appeals in New Jersey appellate courts, presenting issues before both the Appellate Division and the Supreme Court.

Mr. Confusione attended Tulane University in New Orleans on a Deans' Honor Scholarship, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English, cum laude, in 1992. He earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Rutgers University School of Law - Camden in 1995, serving as Articles Editor on the Rutgers Law Journal and receiving American Jurisprudence awards for Constitutional Law, Criminal Procedure, Conflict of Laws, Property, and Legal Writing. He has authored Developments in Constitutional Law: Sexual Conduct, Sexual Orientation, and State Constitutional Law and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Justice Thurgood Marshall - A Misleading Comparison, which have appeared in the Rutgers Law Journal.

Mr. Confusione lives with his wife, Susan, and their two children, Andrew and Alexandra. In addition to his active practice, he enjoys running, guitar, and spending time with his family.
